Mohali: 3 family members test positive for coronavirus in Derabassi

The total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Punjab has increased to 79 after three new cases have been reported from Derabassi on Monday. According to the information, the wife, father and elder brother of 43-year-old man, who earlier tested positive in Jawaharpur, Derabassi, have tested positive for coronavirus. Earlier, a resident of Sector 68 in Mohali, tested positive for coronavirus on Monday only. Meanwhile, the total number of cases in Mohali has reached 19. Of these, four people have recovered and discharged. Earlier in the day, fresh cases were reported from Fatehgarh Sahib, Ropar, Kapurthala, Ludhiana, and Amritsar. While Fatehgarh Sahib and Ropar reported 2 cases each, one case was reported each from Kapurthala, Ludhiana, and Amritsar. A 54-year-old man was tested positive for coronavirus in Ludhiana. He is a resident of the Chaukiman area in Jagraon, Ludhiana. He had allegedly attended a religious congregation at Nizamuddin in Delhi. Likewise, two primary contacts of the coronavirus patient, a 52-year-old woman, and 16-year-old son tested positive for coronavirus in Ropar. A 17-year-old boy tested positive for coronavirus in Kapurthala who had also attended Tablighi Jamaat in Nizamuddin, Delhi. Two cases were reported from Fatehgarh Sahib whose contacts are being traced to prevent the spread of coronavirus. Similarly, a case was reported from Amritsar. -PTC News
