Delhi: Baby Girl successfully delivered amid fire broke out in AIIMS

Delhi: While patients were being shifted during the evacuation of the emergency unit on Saturday after a massive fire broke out at AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences), doctors at the institute has successfully delivered a baby girl last night when the fire-fighting operation was still underway. There was a fire in the Teaching Block at AIIMS around 5:00 pm on Saturday, reported ANI quoting AIIMS. https://twitter.com/ANI/status/1163001216613437440 "Delhi Fire Services along with AIIMS fire division have controlled the fire and are still on the job. There has been no loss or damage to life", added ANI. As a precautionary measure, the patients admitted in adjoining AB Wing were shifted out to the other wings of the hospital temporarily. The situation was being monitored closely by Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan. No loss/damage to life has been reported. Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Minister of Health and Family Welfare and Pre, AIIMS, Delhi, personally monitored the efforts on-site towards extinguishing the fire and regarding patient care." -PTC News
