Deep Sidhu death case: FIR lodged against truck driver
Deep Sidhu death case: An FIR has been registered against the truck driver after Punjabi actor Deep Sidhu passed away in a road accident near Sonipat in Haryana on Tuesday.
Rahul Sharma, Sonipat SP, said that "It's a case of rash and negligent driving. FIR registered. The driver has been identified, teams trying to nab him. We retrieved a partially consumed liquor bottle from Deep Sidhu's car. Viscera sample collected, further action after analysis of FSL report."
According to Haryana Police, the accident took place on Western Peripheral Expressway near Pipli Toll plaza. The police said that the actor rammed his car into a standing truck near Pipli toll on Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway.

The FIR, in Deep Sidhu's death case, has been filed by complainant Deep Sidhu's brother Mandeep Singh Sidhu who claimed that he received a call at around 7.50 pm from an unknown number whereby he was informed that his brother Sandeep Singh Sidhu has met with an accident at KMP expressway near Kharkhoda toll as he was driving the Scorpio and that an ambulance was on its way.
Mandeep Singh stated that he was asked to come to the spot by the caller. Meanwhile, Reena Rai who was the co-passenger narrated to him (Mandeep Singh Sidhu) the incident that "the truck was ahead of their car, which suddenly applied leaks rashly, despite there being no vehicles on the road."
"Neither the parking lights of the said truck were visible and that is was dark. It was a complete act of negligence on the part of the driver of the truck due to which the car hit the truck and as a result of which my brother sustained multiple fatal injuries," he said.
The FIR has been registered under IPC Section 279 (rash driving or riding on a public way), 304-A (causing death by negligence), and 337 (whoever causes hurt to any person by doing any act so rashly or negligently as to endanger human life).
