Covid positive patient ends life in civil hospital at Ludhiana
While coronavirus outbreak has led the Ludhiana DC to impose lockdown in two areas, shocking news has surfaced from the district where a Covid patient allegedly committed suicide. According to the information, the Covid patient in Ludhiana was allegedly upset with a financial problem. As per the report, the deceased has been identified as 35-year-old Satpal of Shimlapuri, who was a daily wage earner. The local said that Satpal was admitted to a private hospital after developing symptoms. Upon testing, his report turned positive. Satpal was allegedly upset over his financial condition, the local sources said, adding that he allegedly hung himself with a ceiling fan in his room at around 6 pm on Tuesday. Later, the police was informed about the incident by the hospital authorities. Meanwhile, the police from Division Number two police station reached the spot. The police has started an investigation into the matter. Ludhiana has been reporting the highest number of cases in Punjab which forced the district administration to impose lockdown in two areas of Dugri.
