Covid-19: Canada extends ban on direct flights from India
In a major development, Canada on Monday extended the ban on direct flights from India till September 21 in view of the risks posed by the Covid-19 pandemic. Canada extended its ban on direct passenger flights from India until September 21 amid the South Asian country's struggles to contain the spread of Covid-19 within its borders, Transport Canada said. It is for the fifth time that the ban has been extended. The ban was set to expire on August 21, however, it will now remain in place till September 21. Canada reported a total of 1,442,087 coronavirus cases so far out of which 1,403,357 were recovered while 26,678 people died due to Covid-19. -PTC News
