With 2,226 recoveries in a day, Punjab's recovered cases reach 26,528

The total number of coronavirus cases in Punjab has increased to 41,779 after 1,136 new cases of COVID-19 were reported from the state on Sunday evening. According to the media bulletin issued by the Punjab Health Department, a total of 2,226 COVID patients in the state were declared cured and discharged. Among the recovered cases, Ludhiana reported 1183 recoveries, Jalandhar reported 49, Patiala 289, Amritsar 150, Sangrur 47, Bathinda 115, Gurdaspur 224, Ferozepur 4, Moga 5, Hoshiarpur 54, Pathankot 21, Barnala 8, Kapurthala 20, Fazilka 19, SBS Nagar 7, Muktsar 14, and Mansa 17. Likewise, a total of 50 COVID patients in the state succumbed to the pandemic taking the death toll in the state to 1,086. Among new deaths, Fazilka reported 1, Ferozepur 2, Gurdaspur 6, Hoshiarpur 2, Jalandhar 7, Kapurthala 1, Ludhiana 9, Muktsar 1, Patiala 19, Sangrur 1, Tarn Taran 1.
