Punjab reported four new coronavirus cases from Jalandhar on Friday. According to the information, a one-year-old child and an 8-year-old girl among the four have tested positive for the coronavirus. Three of them have been identified as the resident of Raja Garden while one of them belongs to Old Sabzi Mandi in Jalandhar. Meanwhile, the total number of coronavirus cases in Jalandhar has increased to 35. So far, Mohali is having the highest number of coronavirus cases in the state followed by Jalandhar at 35 and Pathankot at 24. Recently, the Union government has declared Nawanshahr, Mohali, Pathankot, and Jalandhar as a coronavirus hotspot. On Friday, Ludhiana reported three new cases out of which one of them is a resident of Ferozepur, thus reporting the first case in the district. Three cases reported from Ludhiana include the contacts of the ACP, who had earlier tested positive for coronavirus. The ACP's wife, his gunman, a resident of Ferozepur and a sub-inspector posted as Basti Jodhewal SHO tested positive for coronavirus. The ACP is admitted to SPS Hospital and put on a ventilator. As per the report, the ACP got diagnosed while on duty at Sabzi Mandi a few days ago. Likewise, a 58-year-old Kanungo in Revenue Department tested positive for coronavirus on Thursday in Ludhiana.
