Punjab tally rises to 375 after 9 districts report fresh covid-19 cases

The total number of coronavirus cases in Punjab has increased to 375 after new cases were reported from 9 districts on Wednesday. According to the media bulletin issued by the Punjab Health Department on Wednesday evening, SBS Nagar reported 2 new cases while Faridkot reported 3 new cases of coronavirus. Likewise, Ludhiana reported 11 new cases out of which 7 are the pilgrims who returned from Sri Hazur Sahib, Nanded, Maharashtra, while the rest of them are the students who returned from Kota, Rajasthan. Meanwhile, three new cases of coronavirus were reported from Hoshiarpur while Mohali reported 8 new cases of coronavirus out of which 3 of them are from Jawaharpur village in Derabassi. Patiala and Bathinda reported 2 new cases each while Jalandhar and Sangrur reported one new case each. India's coronavirus tally reaches 31,332; death toll at 1007 Jalandhar remains the worst-hit district with 86 cases of coronavirus followed by Mohali at 73, Patiala at 63 and Ludhiana at 29. Pathankot has recorded 25 cases, while SBS Nagar reported 22, Amritsar 14 and Mansa 13. Moga and Sangrur have reported two cases each with Ropar tally standing at 3. Barnala, Fatehgarh Sahib and Bathinda have two cases each.
