Coronavirus cases in Punjab rise to 4074; death toll 99; recovered 2700

The total number of coronavirus cases in Punjab has increased to 4074 after 122 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in the last 24 hours, as of Sunday evening. The death toll in the state has increased to 99 after 1 new death was reported from Ferozepur. According to the media bulletin issued by the Punjab Health Department, Amritsar and Mohali reported 4 new cases of coronavirus each while 6 new cases were reported from Jalandhar. Ludhiana reported 54 new cases while Pathankot reported 16 new cases. Hoshiarpur reported 7 new cases while 6 new cases were reported from Fazilka. Ropar and Gurdaspur reported 5 new cases each. Kapurthala and Patiala reported 3 new cases each while Sangrur, Muktsar and SBS Nagar reported 2 new cases each. Similarly, Tarn Taran, Fatehgarh Sahib and Faridkot reported one new case each. COVID RECOVERIES EXCEEDS ACTIVE CASES BY 50,000 A total of 22 patients were declared cured and discharged. Of 22, 12 were from Mohali, 6 from Pathankot and 4 from Gurdaspur. Currently, Amritsar is on the top of the tally with 758 cases of coronavirus followed by Jalandhar at 543, Ludhiana at 550, and Mohali at 217. Patiala has reported 209 cases of coronavirus while Sangrur has reported 206 cases of COVID-19.
