Coronavirus cases in Punjab rise to 6491; death toll 169; recovered 4494

The total number of coronavirus cases in Punjab has increased to 6,491 after 208 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in the last 24 hours, as of Monday evening. The death toll in the state has increased to 169 after 5 new deaths were reported from the state. Ludhiana reported 3 new deaths while 1 new death was reported each from Sangrur and Muktsar. According to the media bulletin issued by the Punjab Health Department, Amritsar reported 11 new cases of coronavirus while 25 new cases were reported from Ludhiana. Jalandhar reported 84 new cases while Sangrur reported 9 new cases. Patiala reported 19 new cases, Gurdaspur reported 12, 15 from Mohali and 6 from Muktsar. Faridkot reported 7 new cases while 5 were reported from Kapurthala and Bathinda each, 3 from Pathankot, and one each from SBS Nagar, Ferozepur and Mansa. A total of 86 patients were declared cured and discharged in the last 24 hours. Of 86, 39 were from Sangrur, 9 from Mohali, 7 from Hoshiarpur, 12 from SBS Nagar, 5 from Bathinda, 2 from Pathankot and 3 each from Ropar, Kapurthala and Barnala. Coronavirus India | Recovered Cases more than 4 lakh Currently, Ludhiana is on the top of the tally with 1104 cases of coronavirus followed by Amritsar at 968, Jalandhar at 925, and Sangrur at 544. Patiala has reported 398 cases of coronavirus while Mohali has reported 317 cases of COVID-19. Meanwhile, the Coronavirus tally of Tarn Taran has increased to 207 while the number of coronavirus cases in Hoshiarpur has spiked to 186. The coronavirus tally in SBS Nagar stands at 149, Muktsar at 139, Fatehgarh Sahib at 127, Moga at 121, Ropar at 114, Faridkot at 127, Kapurthala at 114, Ferozepur at 119, Bathinda at 115 and Fazilka at 103.
