Coronavirus cases in Punjab surge to 41; death toll 3
Punjab tally has increased to 41 after fresh cases of coronavirus were reported on Monday. Meanwhile, the death toll in Punjab has risen to 3 after a 42-year-old woman died in Ludhiana due to coronavirus on Monday. She has been identified as Pooja Rani. She was admitted to Rajendra Hospital in Ludhiana. Shockingly, a 65-year-old man, a resident of Mohali, has tested positive for coronavirus, who did not have any travel history. Therefore, his allies are being traced to find out from whom he got contracted. Of 41 cases, one patient has recovered so far while a total of three people has died. Earlier this month, a man in Nawanshahr, Baldev Singh, died due to heart attack and later tested positive for coronavirus. Likewise, a man, Harbhajan Singh, a resident of Hoshiarpur, died due to coronavirus on Sunday. As per the recent bulletin issued by the Health Department, 1051 samples have been taken for coronavirus test so far out of which 881 have been reported negative.
