Good News! 3 more coronavirus patients test negative in Nawanshahr

Three more coronavirus patients, who were being treated in the isolation ward of District Hospital in Nawanshahar, have tested negative for the second time on Sunday. Accordingly, they have been declared cured. Meanwhile, the total number of cured patients from Nawanshahr now stands at 13. Nawanshahr is now left with only 5 coronavirus patients in the isolation center. Even out of these 5 remaining patients, the first report for 3 patients has been received negative. As soon as the second report for these three patients turns negative, they will also be declared cured. If it happens, the count of cured people in Nawanshahr will move up to 16. Nawanshahr has reported 19 cases so far, out of which one death has been reported. A man, Baldev Singh, who died due to heart attack in Banga civil hospital, later tested positive for coronavirus. Mohali tally rises to 53

The total number of coronavirus cases in Mohali has increased to 53 after 2 new cases were reported from Jawaharpur village in Derabassi on Sunday. Meanwhile, Jawaharpur tally has increased to 36 while the total number of coronavirus cases in Mohali stands at 53. The district has reported the highest number of coronavirus cases in the state.34 deaths and 909 new cases reported in last 24 hours in India

Punjab Curfew Extended

Captain Amarinder Singh took to Twitter and wrote: "Given the seriousness of the situation arising out of COVID 19, Cabinet has decided to extend lockdown and curfew till 1st May. These are difficult times and I appeal to all to stay home stay safe and strictly observe health safeguards as you have done so far, for which I am thankful." -PTC News
