PM Narendra Modi asks nation to light lamps for nine minutes at 9 pm on Sunday

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday asked the citizens to challenge coronavirus and show it the power of light. He requested people to turn off the lights in homes for 9 minutes and stand at the balcony with a candle/lamp or a mobile flashlight. He said that "In the darkness spread by the Coronavirus pandemic, we need to resolve to keep moving towards light and hope." He also said that "Don't go out on the streets. Do it only from the doors or balconies of your house. Keep social-distancing, don't break it under any circumstance." "There is no other force greater than the spirit of our enthusiasm," he added. PM Modi added that "We are all together in the battle against Coronavirus, we must understand the strength of the unit." He also said that "Today when crores of people are inside homes, then some of us may think how will they fight this battle against coronavirus alone. Such questions might come up in your mind?
