While the central government is all set to announce the guidelines for lockdown 4.0, there are speculations that this phase of lockdown is likely to have major relaxations. As per the report, these may include the movement of autorickshaws, opening of shopping centres and malls, and resumption of domestic flights, but with strict adherence to the measures relating to the social distancing, wearing masks, and ban on spitting in public places. Reportedly, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) said that the entire was brainstorming to bring in a kind of normalcy after nearly two months of the unprecedented lockdown imposed to contain the spread of coronavirus. The third phase of the lockdown will end on Sunday. The sources indicated also said that the next phase of lockdown would be of another two weeks and plans were to allow the operation of metro and bus services, barber shops, restaurants, local markets, and home appliance repair shops in green and orange zones. In the case of the districts under the red zone, MHA sources stated that the new guidelines were likely to specify the localised “containment zones”. In the rest of the district, some relaxed norms may be announced to ease the strictness.
