Punjab: 25 suspected coronavirus cases in Kapurthala

While the nation is panicked over the havoc of coronavirus (COVID 19), 25 suspected cases have been reported from Kapurthala in Punjab. According to the information, the health department in Kapurthala has made a list of 25 people who have recently returned to India from foreign countries or if they were in touch with those who traveled to foreign countries.

Coronavirus in India

India has reported 31 confirmed cases on Friday after a fresh case was reported in Delhi. Meanwhile, a person was tested positive for the novel coronavirus in Ghaziabad and a new case was reported from Gurugram on Thursday. In Gurugram, an employee of Paytm was tested positive after he returned from a vacation in Italy.

Coronavirus in Dog

A dog in Hong Kong was tested positive for coronavirus. It has been suspected that it was a case of human to animal transmission, the authorities stated. The dog belongs to a 60-year-old woman who is infected from the virus. The dog has been tested weak positive.

No Holi celebration in India?

PM Modi took to Twitter and wrote: "Experts across the world have advised to reduce mass gatherings to avoid the spread of COVID-19 Novel Coronavirus. Hence, this year I have decided not to participate in any Holi Milan programme." Likewise, the BJP President Jagat Prakash Nadda wrote: "The world is battling COVID -19 Novel Corona Virus. The countries and medical fraternity are jointly making efforts to contain its spread. Keeping this in mind, this year, I will neither celebrate Holi nor organise Holi Milan. Primary schools to be closed in Delhi

Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said in a tweet: "As a precautionary measure to prevent the possibility of spread of COVID-19 amongst our children, Delhi Government has directed immediate closure of all primary schools (Govt/ aided/ private/MCD/NDMC) till March 31." -PTC News
