Haryana reports first death due to coronavirus

Haryana reported its first death due to coronavirus on Thursday. A 67-year-old man, a resident of Ambala Cantonment died due to coronavirus at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh. He has been identified as Harjit Singh Kohli. As of Wednesday evening, Haryana reported 29 confirmed coronavirus cases. Of these, 10 cases have been reported in Gurugram, 6 in Faridabad, 4 in Panipat, 3 in Sirsa, 2 in Panchkula and 1 each in Ambala, Hisar, Palwal, and Sonepat out of which 9 patients of Gurugram, 2 patients from Panipat and 1 patient each from Faridabad and Palwal have been discharged. The World Health Organization (WHO) has recently declared the novel Coronavirus, as a global pandemic. Till now it has affected 203 countries, infecting 7,50,890 people and caused 36,405 deaths. The most severely affected countries are the USA, China, Italy, Iran, South Korea, Spain, Germany, and the UK. As of Thursday morning, the total number of COVID-19 positive cases rise to 1965 in India including 1764 active cases out of which 151 has been cured and discharge. Nurse tests positive for coronavirus in Panchkula

Recently, a staff nurse of a hospital in Sector 6, Panchkula, tested positive for coronavirus (COVID 19), the Chief Medical Officer Dr. Jasjeet Kaur said. She has been put in isolation now. It was the second positive case of coronavirus in Panchkula. Earlier this month, a woman, a resident of Khark Mangoli in Panchkula, was tested positive for coronavirus. -PTC News
