New positive case reported in Chandigarh; Total number of cases 7

A fresh positive case of coronavirus has been reported from Chandigarh on Monday. The total number of coronavirus cases in Chandigarh now stands at 7. According to the information, a 23-year-old has tested positive. She has been admitted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh.

Chandigarh Lockdown

In the wake of growing concerns over coronavirus spread, the Chandigarh Administration on Sunday declared a complete lockdown in the Union Territory. Reportedly, the administration has decided to impose certain restrictions to avoid the spread of COVID 19. Meanwhile, all the non-essential establishments including offices, schools, colleges, factories and other business establishments, etc shall remain closed till March 31. Likewise, all the public transport shall also remain suspended for the time being.

Take Lockdown seriously

Urging people to take lockdown seriously, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that "Many people are still not taking the lockdown seriously. Please save yourself, save your family, follow the instructions seriously. I request the state governments to get the rules and laws followed." Coronavirus in air now

The World Health Organization considered the “airborne precautions” for all the medical staff.
