Coronavirus cases in Punjab rise to 2060; death toll 40; recovered 1898

The total number of coronavirus cases in Punjab has increased to 2060 after just 15 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in the last 24 hours, as of Friday evening. The death toll in the state has increased to 40 after a new death was reported in the state from Amritsar. According to the media bulletin issued by the Punjab Health Department, Jalandhar reported a new case of coronavirus while Pathankot reported 7 new cases. Likewise, one case was reported from Amritsar and two from Gurdaspur and 4 from Hoshiarpur. A total of 28 patients have been declared cured and discharged in the last 24 hours. Of 28 recovered cases, 18 are from Ludhiana, 2 from SBS Nagar, and 2 from Patiala, 1 from Faridkot, 3 from Fazilka, and 2 from Mansa. 21 Indian returned from America tested positive for coronavirus Amritsar is on the top of the tally as it has reported 319 COVID-19 cases so far followed by Jalandhar at 214, Ludhiana at 173, and Tarn Taran at 153. Gurdaspur has 132 cases of coronavirus while SBS Nagar stands at 105 cases. Patiala has reported 107 cases. Mohali, which has been declared corona-free, had reported 102 cases while Hoshiarpur tally has increased to 106. Sangrur tally of coronavirus stands at 88 and Muktsar tally has increased to 66. Faridkot has reported 61 cases so far while a total of 59 cases have been reported from Moga, 60 from Ropar, 57 from Fatehgarh Sahib. Mansa has recorded 32 cases while the total number of coronavirus cases has increased to 39 in Pathankot. Kapurthala has reported 35 cases. 22 cases of coronavirus cases have been reported from Barnala so far. Meanwhile, 122 are active cases while 1898 people have been cured and discharged. -PTC News
