Chandigarh reports 2 new cases of coronavirus; total cases mount to 15
Chandigarh has reported fresh cases of coronavirus (COVID 19) taking the total number of cases to 15. A 31-year-old male nurse, resident of Chandigarh with no travel history admitted at CD-ward of Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) has tested positive for coronavirus. Likewise, a 40-year-old male has also tested positive for COVID 19. According to the information, he came in contact with a person who returned from Canada. The 40-year-old has been identified as Dr. Jasmeet Singh. He was a doctor at Mayo hospital in Mohali. He was a resident of Sector 49-D, Chandigarh. Meanwhile, Governor VP Singh Badnore along with UT Advisor Manoj Parida presided over a review meeting with senior officials of Tricity and reviewed the situation regarding Coronavirus menace. The Administrator also inaugurated a newly developed android based application "CHDCOVID". This platform will be able to provide all the information related to COVID-19 in Chandigarh.
