Chandigarh administration implements strategies to stop COVID spread

Keeping in view the rising covid infection in Chandigarh and it's adjoining states the strategy to contain has been implemented by the Chandigarh administration by increasing covid testing, stepping up contact tracing, and isolating positive people. Also Read | Punjab Govt. to launch Punjab Divyangjan Shaktikaran Yojna to empower persons with disabilities Health advisory by the health department to Chandigarh and Tricity residents because of the current surge and a steep rise in covid 19 infections in New Delhi is: •They should avoid traveling to high-risk zones like New Delhi and it's NCR region unless unavoidable because their probability of getting infected increases substantially when they are in these high-risk zones. •People coming back from Delhi should maintain six feet distance from their family members, always wear a mask at home, and limit contact with others to less than fifteen minutes. •They should also follow these norms at their workplace to prevent the spread of infection to their colleagues and acquaintances. •They should get tested immediately if symptomatic and opt for volunteer testing even if they are asymptomatic for the safety of their family and colleagues. •Free voluntary testing facility is available at GMSH16, civil hospital Manimajra, civil hospital sector 22, civil hospital sector 45, and mobile testing units as per schedule. •People traveling back from New Delhi by bus should avail of the free covid testing facility provided at sector 17 bus stand. -PTC News
