Surendra Singh Yadav is new Chandigarh DGP

Chandigarh, March 12: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Tuesday issued a revised order, wherein Surendra Singh Yadav, an Indian Police Service officer of the AGMUT cadre (1997 batch), has been transferred from Delhi and appointed as the Director General of Police (DGP) for Chandigarh.

This modification comes into effect immediately and is in accordance with the approval of the competent authority, states the order. . Surendra Singh Yadav's transfer is part of the ongoing administrative reshuffle. In addition to Surendra Singh Yadav's transfer, the MHA has revoked the earlier transfer and posting orders of Madhup Kumar Tiwari, IPS (AGMUT:1995), and Devesh Chandra Srivastava, IPS (AGMUT:1995), with immediate effect. This cancellation will remain in force until further notice.

The order has been issued by Rakesh Kumar Singh, Under Secretary to the Government of India, and is addressed to all officials concerned through the Chief Secretaries.
