Centre provides armed security cover to NDA's opposition candidate

New Delhi [India], June 24: The Central government on Friday has provided 'Z' category armed security cover of Central Reserve Police Force to Opposition presidential candidate Yashwant Sinha, as per the sources. After receiving orders from the Ministry of Home Affairs on Thursday, the CRPF has been taking over the security of Sinha on Friday. yashwant4 (1) Also Read: JNU researchers come up with candies to treat malaria in kids   The moves came days after the CRPF accorded 'Z ' category armed security to NDA's presidential candidate Droupadi Murmu. Presently, former Union Minister and Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Yashwant Sinha will be guarded round the clock by armed CRPF personnel. On June 21, Sinha was named as the common candidate of the Opposition for the Presidential elections. The announcement of the same was made by the Congress leader Jairam Ramesh during a meeting. The announcement comes shortly after Sinha hinted that he has accepted the proposal made by a section of Opposition leaders to make him their presidential candidate. Sinha, who had quit the Bharatiya Janata Party in 2018, joined the TMC last year. He was later appointed as the party's vice-president. yashwant3 (1) Also Read: Who is Abdul Rehman Makki?
