Cannes (France), April 27: Deepika Padukone is all set to represent India at 75th Cannes Film Festival as one of the jury members. On Tuesday, Cannes Film Festival announced the Jury President and the competition member jury who will select the winners of this year's Palme d'Or honours and Bollywood actor Deepika is a part of it. Deepika Padukone, who made her red carpet debut at the Cannes Film Festival in 2017, shared the news with her fans by posting her picture with the images of other jury members including Oscar-winning filmmaker Asghar Farhadi, Jeff Nichols, Rebecca Hall, Noomi Rapace, Jasmine Trinca, Ladj Ly and Joachim Trier. French actor Vincent Lindon is announced the president of the jury. The Cannes Film Festival will begin on May 17 and conclude on May 28 with a gala ceremony in Cannes where the jury will reveal this year's winners. Also Read | PM Modi to hold virtual Covid review meeting with CMs According to The Hollywood Reporter, David Cronenberg's dystopian sci-fi film 'Crimes of the Future,' starring Lea Seydoux, Kristen Stewart, and Viggo Mortensen, is one of the competition's highlights this year. 'Decision to Leave,' directed by Park Chan-wook (Oldboy), and 'Showing Up,' directed by Kelly Reichardt and starring Michelle Williams, is among the films. Deepika joins a long list of Indian actresses who have previously served on the festival's jury, including Vidya Balan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Nandita Das, and Sharmila Tagore.
