Bus service hit as Punjab Roadways contractual employees go on strike

Chandigarh, July 13: Punjab Roadways, PUNBUS, PRTC Contract Workers Union (CWWU) has planned to stage a protest and ordered to close bus stands across the state. The warning was displayed in front of the gate of Punjab Roadways Jalandhar Depot. The Punjab Union demands that the unskilled workers be made permanent and pay their dues. Punjab Roadways, PUNBUS spokespersons said that the Aam Aadmi Party had made big promises to the unskilled workers before the formation of the government. Notably, Depot President Gurpreet Singh Bhullar, Satpal Singh Satta, General Secretary Channan Singh, Ranjit Singh during the state level meeting held in Ludhiana stated that the anti-employee policies of the government and efforts to eliminate the departments were discussed.
