Chandigarh, October 10: Senior Shiromani Akali Dal leader Bikram Singh Majithia on Monday spoke about an alleged scam in the recruitment of naib tehsildars and sought a CBI probe into the matter. Notably, the Opposition of Punjab had previously alleged a scam in the recruitment of naib tehsildars and claimed that some candidates, who had “failed” in other tests, had topped the exam for the post. However, the Punjab Public Service Commission which oversaw the recruiting process refuted the accusation and claimed that there was no evidence indicating that the process had been compromised in any way. Bikram Majithia alleged on Monday that 11 of the 19 general category candidates are from the same district.
