Beware! DO NOT use hand sanitizer before lighting firecrackers
Diwali 2020: Amid coronavirus pandemic, people are used to hand sanitizers which is touted as one of the shields against COVID-19. However, there are certain activities where one should not use hand sanitizer. Diwali is a festival of lights and sweets but now the trend is changed and fire crackers has become an essential part of Diwali celebrations. This year, parents need to be more attentive as they need to tell their wards to not use hand sanitizer before burning fire crackers. Meanwhile, it is pertinent to mention that several state governments have announced a complete ban on the sale and use of fire crackers in a bid to contain the coronavirus pandemic. Punjab government has given a two-hours window to burn green fire crackers, however, a complete ban on crackers has been imposed in Mandi Gobindgarh. Other tips to celebrate safe Diwali include not burning firecrackers inside the house as it can be dangerous on allergy and asthma patients.
