Air India on a termination spree, sacks 50 pilots overnight

ICPA (Indian Commercial Pilots Association) said that around 50 pilots have been illegally terminated by Air India as the pilots received letters from Personnel Department in blatant violation of company's operation manual and service rules. The pilots have now sought the intervention of the association. However, ICPA as written a letter to Rajiv Bansal, Chairman and Managing Director, Air India. ICPA also tweeted, "What's happening? Around 50 of our pilots have been terminated overnight unceremoniously without proper procedure being followed. A rude shock for those who served the nation in this pandemic putting the nation first," Air India on a termination spree, sacks 50 pilots overnightThey also pointed out that after the termination on August 13, a pilot was made to operate AI 804/506 on August 14. The pilots who flew these flights were not technically the employees of Air India after the termination.
