Ahead of Republic Day, BSF intensifies patrolling along Jammu border

In view of Republic Day and the security situation, troops of the Jammu Border Security Force (BSF) have been on high alert to deal with any nefarious attempts by anti-national elements (ANEs) from across the border. Keeping in mind the current security scenario and intelligence inputs on the eve of Republic Day, BSF Jammu in an official statement stated that it has been on high alert on Jammu International Border and is carrying out extensive anti-tunnelling drive, special patrolling and depth area domination despite extremely hostile weather conditions. To bolster the border domination, mobilisation of troops have been done. To thwart any nefarious attempts of ANEs, a joint patrolling/exercise is also being conducted with the Army, CRPF and State Police. In the previous year, BSF personnel stationed on the Jammu International Border have been quite successful in foiling attempts from across the border by eliminating Pak intruders, seizing huge caches of arms/amn, narcotics and uncovering tunnels.
