Here is the list of Punjab’s 9 coronavirus-free districts

Nawanshahr, Moga, Barnala, Gurdaspur are among the nine districts in Punjab which have been declared as corona-free districts. According to the information, Nawanshahr, Moga, Barnala, Gurdaspur, Fatehgarh Sahib, Ropar, Bathinda, Tarn Taran and Fazilka have come out of the containment zone with no coronavirus patient left in these districts. Nawanshahr was the first district in Punjab to report a coronavirus death after a man identified as Baldev Singh died due to coronavirus. Afterward, the district reported 19 cases of which 18 have been cured and discharged. Likewise, Moga becomes coronavirus free after all the four positive cases recovered. In Barnala, there were only two cases out of which one of them died and one of them was cured. Gurdaspur reported just one case who, eventually, died due to the epidemic. Fatehgarh Sahib had also reported just two cases while Ropar had recorded three coronavirus cases. So far, Mohali is the worst-hit district with 62 coronavirus cases in the district out of which 14 have been cured while two died. Likewise, Jalandhar is on the second spot with more than 50 cases and Patiala on the third spot with 49 cases. -PTC News
