Ambedkar Jayanti 2021: Centre announces April 14 as public holiday

BR Ambedkar Jayanti 2021: The central government has declared April 14 as a public holiday. BR Ambedkar was the architect of the Indian Constitution. On the occasion of BR Ambedkar Jayanti 2021, the government has announced that from this year April 14 will be declared as a public holiday. Meanwhile, the government sent a memorandum to all the ministries regarding this decision. “It has been decided to declare Wednesday, 14th April 2021 as a public holiday on account of the birthday of Dr B R Ambedkar, for all Central Government Offices, including Industrial Establishments throughout India by invoking the powers under Section 25 of Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881,” read the notification.
