Amid nationwide lockdown, announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar donated Rs 25 crore to fight the coronavirus pandemic. Ever since the number of coronavirus cases is increasing in India, many Bollywood personalities have been constantly appealing to fans to follow the directions issued by the government. On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the CARES fund requesting for donations to fight the coronavirus. Akshay Kumar, who has been vocal about the pandemic, is one of the first actors to pitch in and donate a huge amount of Rs 25 crore to the PM-CARES fund.
