Rumours circulating on social media about me contesting elections, upsets me a lot. Please don’t believe these rumour mongers, my heart aches when I hear people speak baselessly about me and my deceased son who's pyre has not doused yet. I would like to extend heartfelt gratitude towards all of them, who stood by our family’s side in such difficult times. Sidhu’s ‘Bhog’ is on June 8, I request you all to attend the ceremony, where would share his thoughts with those present.” “However, I am not in condition to say anything more than this.”(Roughly translated from Punjabi)

Balkaur Sidhu, who lost his only son on May 29, shared this emotional appeal on Sidhu Moosewala’s official Instagram page. At that time, Gajendra Shekhawat had told the parents that union home minister is coming to Chandigarh on June 4 and a meeting will be arranged with him.
