Aarogya Setu app helped in identifying Covid-19 clusters: WHO

WHO on Aargoya Setu App: The Director-General of the World Health Organisation, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, lauded Aarogya Setu, a Covid-19 contact tracing app initiated by the Government of India. The Aarogya Setu App has been mandated by the Government of India in almost every guideline or SOPs announced to contain the spread of COVID-19. He said that the Aarogya Setu app in India, downloaded by 150 million users, was one such technology. It also alerts users if they can get infected with the virus. No guarantee any Covid-19 vaccine in development will work WHO Apart from India, Ghebreyesus mentioned the contract tracing app from countries like Germany (Corona Warn app) and United Kingdom (NHS’s Covid-19 app) among the others.
