83 Movie Review: You will walk out with a smile on your face after Kabir Khan’s 83 ends. The smile stays with a feeling of pride. This film documents India’s historic victory in the 1983 World Cup, crafted with finesse and technique.

Film 83: Plot

The name of the film 83 itself expresses the whole story of the heroic win of India in the World cup 1983. Kabir Khan crafted the passport sequence intelligently to introduce the characters of the film. They are seen as the underdogs by the Indians and are going for the world cup series not only to win the world cup but to earn the respect they deserve as players. The director Kabir Khan has amazingly used the real images with the reel ones and one of the most important facts is that the team of the film has heavily invested in the research to make the film more realistic. Cast

Ranveer Singh, Ammy Virk, Harrdy Sandhu, Saqib Salim, and the other characters of the film transform admirably as Kapil Dev, Balwinder Sandhu, Madan Lal & Mohinder Amarnath, respectively. Not only this, Ranveer Singh nails Kapil Dev’s style accent, body language, and the Natraj shot on the ground. Even the moment when Kapil Dev created the world record with his mongoose bat has been captured flawlessly. Based on the true events which everyone knows still you will feel like a real match is going on the screen. Kapil Dev and Mohinder Amarnath also appear on the screen. Also, the makers have shown Sachin Tendulkar getting influenced by the 1983 World Cup. Overall, this film is a feeling of joy, emotions, defeat, pride which is an unmissable experience and you will come out with huge claps as the film is truly an extraordinary piece of work.
