6.7-magnitude undersea earthquake hits Fiji,No Tsunami A 6.7-magnitude undersea earthquake struck off the coast of Fiji around 9:25 AM,on Monday. However,as per Geological Survey,it was too deep to cause any damage. The area is prone to deep undersea earthquakes and a a 7.8-magnitude earthquake hit two months back. 6.7-magnitude undersea earthquake was centered 534 kilometers deep and 283 kilometers east in the country’s capital Suva. Meanwhile, Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said there was no tsunami threat from the tremor which occurred at 9:25 am The area is prone to undersea earthquakes as a 7.8-magnitude earthquake had hit the same coast two months ago. - PTC News
