Coronavirus cases in Punjab rise to 1,877; death toll 31
The total number of coronavirus cases in Punjab has increased to 1877 after 54 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours, as of Monday evening. The death toll in the state stands at 31. According to the media bulletin issued by the Punjab Health Department, Jalandhar reported 13 new cases while Mansa reported 12 new cases of coronavirus. Gurdaspur reported 6 new cases of coronavirus while Fatehgarh Sahib reported 11 new cases. Moga and Ludhiana reported two COVID-19 cases each. Tarn Taran, Fazilka, Patiala, Faridkot, Ropar, Hoshiarpur, Amritsar and Ferozepur reported one new case each. Amritsar is on the top of the tally with 296 cases followed by Jalandhar at 188, Tarn Taran at 158, Ludhiana at 127. Gurdaspur has reported 122 cases of coronavirus while SBS Nagar has 103 cases. Mohali has 102 cases while Patiala has reported 98 cases. Hoshiarpur reported 91 cases. Sangrur stands at 88 while Muktsar stands at 65. A total of 59 cases have been reported from Moga, 56 from Ropar, 47 from Fatehgarh Sahib. Fazilka has also reported 40 cases of coronavirus. Mansa has reported 32 cases of coronavirus, while 29 cases have been reported from Pathankot, 25 from Kapurthala, 21 from Barnala.
