In a sixth gunfight in Srinagar this year, the police informed that three militants and a civilian woman have been killed and a CRPF officer injured in a gunfight in Srinagar’s Batamaloo area on Thursday morning. The gunfight broke out when joint teams of police and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in the congested Batamaloo area following an input about militants’ presence. “As the suspected area was being cordoned off, the hiding militants opened fire which was retaliated, triggering an encounter.
