February 14, 2019! The day which is considered as the black day in the history of India. It's been two years but it still hurts. 2019 Pulwama terror attack is one of the deadliest attack in decades. 40 CRPF soldiers were martyred in 2019 Pulwama terror attack when a cowardly suicide bomber attack on Indian Army's convoy. The suicide bomber was affiliated with the Pakistan based terror group, Jaish-e-Mohammad. The Indian Army's convoy had to pass through NH-44 but it was shut down for two days prior to the day of attack. Thus, the convoy was carrying a large number of personnel which was scheduled to reach its destination before the sunset. While the convoy was on its way, a car filled with explosives rammed into one of the convoy's vehicle. The deadliest attack claimed the lives of 40 soldiers and left several others injured. The terrorist was identified as the 22-year old Adil Ahmad Dar who was driving the explosive-laden-car. Dar also died on the spot. Reportedly, he was arrested six times by the authorities prior to the attack but was released every time. In a reply to the cowardly attack, India carried out air strike on Jaish-e-Mohammed training camp on February 26. 12 Mirage 2000 jets crossed the Line of Control and destroyed terror camps in Balakot sector in Pakistan in which 300-350 terrorists were killed. India can never forget the supreme sacrifice of the 40 CRPF soldiers. It may be recalled that the befitting reply that India gave to Pakistan grabbed the International support.
