15 AAP MLAs Had Signed Consent For Replacing Khaira With Cheema: Dr.Balbir Singh

15 AAP MLAs had signed consent for replacing Khaira with Cheema: Dr.Balbir Singh On Thursday, 15 AAP MLAs had signed consent for replacing Khaira with Cheema and one among them, Pirmal Singh, was at Khaira's house for the meeting today. Dr Balbir Singh Singh said after the press conference that 15-16 MLAs has signed consent for replacing Khaira with HarPal Singh Cheema. HarPal Singh Cheema said that this decision has not been taken suddenly but has been taken after consulting other people of the party. The Aam Aadmi Party on Thursday removed Sukhpal Singh Khaira as the Leader of Opposition in Punjab Assembly and announced Dirba MLA Harpal Singh Cheema would take his place. No specific reason for replacing Khaira was given by the party. 10 Aam Aadmi Party MLAs including Sukhpal Khaira and Kanwar Sandhu seek review of the decision to remove Khaira as LoP, said Sukhpal Khaira in addressing a press conference. He further said that “we wrote a letter to Party High Command to press their demand, says removal of Khaira is undemocratic. Sukhpal Khaira during the press conference said, 'We will hold state-level worker convention on August 2'. He said that He will express resentment but not leave the party, announces Sukhpal Khiara and Kanwar Sandhu. Nearly 8 AAP MLAs present in Khaira's press conference being held at Chandigarh Press Club. Two more MLAs, including Bathinda city’s Rupinder Kaur Ruby, joined the press conference. Sandhu said Khaira's removal was announced on Twitter without any intimation to Khaira. Sandhu said ten lawmakers have sent a signed letter to party head Arvind Kejriwal asking him to resolve the crisis. He also claimed many state office bearers and zonal leaders have sent their resignations, but none has been accepted so far. -PTC NEWS
