11-year-old kid falls victim to cobra bite in Panchkula An 11-year-old kid was bitten by a cobra in Panchkula on Thursday in Pinjore. The cobra was captured by the team. The child was rushed to PGIMER. The same team caught another snake at Mansa Devi temple on Thursday. The victim, Rakesh, was playing near his house in CRPF colony. He accidentally encountered the cobra and cobra bit him on his leg. The child started shouting. After listening to his cries, his family came out and rushed him to the hospitals nearby. The child was then referred to PGIMER. The family said that he is now out of danger. The colony residents called a snake catcher team that captured 3 feet long cobra. Expert snake catcher Ali said, “The Cobra was caught from the CRPF colony in Pinjore. Another non-poisonous snake was hiding near the temple premises. We have released both the snakes in the forest area of Morni.” “Snakes are a part of the ecosystem and people should not kill them on the encounter. Residents must inform the emergency number of MC for snakes, and a team would be sent to them immediately,” he added -PTC NEWS
